Our most valuable possesion

Most people have a go to set of items when asked the question "What would you grab if your house was on fire?". More interestingly is that rarely do those items include things of significant monetary value. If thats the case then why do we put so much weight on the things we have? I'm going to steal a few lines from a movie. They emphasize the point.
"How much does your life weigh? Imagine for a second you are carrying a backpack. I want you to pack it with all the stuff you have in your life and start with the little things the shelves, the drawers, the nicknacks: then start adding larger stuff, clothes, tabletop appliances, lamps, your TV – backpack should be getting pretty heavy now – and you go bigger. Your couch, your car, your home – I want you to stuff it all into that backpack.
Now i want you to fill it with people. Start with casual acquaintances, friends of friends, folks around the office, and then you move to the people that you trust with your most intimate secrets, your brothers and sisters, your children, parents, and finally your husband, wife, your boyfriend, your girlfriend – and get ‘em into that backpack – feel the weight of that bag. Make no mistake; your relationships are your heaviest components in your life. all those negotiations and arguments and secrets are compromising. The slower we move, the faster we die. Make no mistake, moving is living. Some animals were meant to carry each other to live, symbiotically over a lifetime, star-crossed lovers, monogamous swans."  -George Clooney, Up in the Air

Now if you've seen the movie, you know I'm skipping the cynical point to the whole speech. Point is, our relationships carry more weight than any empirical measuring system can define. Take a few moments to learn about the people around you. Theres 6+ billion people in the world. Ask questions. Ask your family.  Don't get caught up in the race for fancy toys. Unless you believe in ancient Egyptian religion you won't be able to take it with you. Go get heartbroken. Take the risk, it's worth it. Just remember, people are what matter.

Blah Blah Blah. I've got so much wisdom right? I'll shut up now. I did a band shoot tonight. Here are some of the raw frames. SOOC so don't judge.  Simple 2 light set ups.

Set up shot. Pretty basic
