Humble

I've been wanting to do this for a while now, but I've been so busy that its taken me a while to finally getting around to starting a blog. In fact, I'm sitting in my math class waiting for the teacher to get here now. Gotta love iPhones, right? Anyway, I thought I'd write about my life as of recent.

For those of you who actually read this and don't know, I'll give you a synapses of recent negative events that have occurred. About a month ago, I was involved in a motorcycle accident. I fractured my patella which means I've had to keep my leg straight since. Because of that I couldn't work for three weeks which normally isn't big deal. Most people would love a mini vacation. Plus I always figured I have my computer and photography to keep me busy and keep a paycheck coming in. The very next day, the logic board (the most expensive piece) in my MacBook pro fried. So now I'm out the damages to my bike, a new laptop, and my knee has broken with no way of creating income. Life just couldn't get worse. I was useless.
through it all though I've been surprisingly positive. I never cried or felt stressed or even the slightest bit worried. In fact I felt better making jokes about how life was getting a little tough. That's when I realized that I personally take so many of my luxuries for granted. Just being able to work is a luxury. At any given point I could break an arm or go blind. I have so much to lose, yet I've been so fortunate. Beyond that, should something tragic occur, I would still feel safe. I have been lucky o gather some great people as friends and gotten lucky with family that supports me. It's been a very humbling experience, this last month or so. I can't wait to see what the future holds. The moral of this post is to just remember the things that you have a take a minute to say thank you. Whether it's to your family, friends, God or your belief system, or anything else. Even yourself. Also, stay positive. Things go bad and things go well. But you will never have things go one way forever so just be prepared. Above all else, laugh. It's like medicine for everything.

My future post won't be so Walt Disney, I promise. I just had a few minutes before my class and I wanted to get something posted. The future post will more likely be my insights into society. It will probably be controversial and you might agree with me or fight every word I say. It could be a photographic series I'm working on or it could be a funny video I wanted to share. In any case, I will try to write once a week. Thanks if you read this and pass it on if it was worth noting. Until next week,
Eddie
